THE WORKS - To God be the Glory

To God be the Glory

To God be the Glory - 2005, Bronze
Holler spent 25 months creating this bronze sculpture depicting Jesus Christ, first carving the form in several pieces from clay and then having it cast in bronze and assembled at a foundry. The 5-foot, 400-pound sculpture, Holler’s first life-size piece, graces the lobby of Winter Park Memorial Hospital as a tribute to his great grandmother-in-law, Evora Van Allen.

The Guardian Angel

The Guardian Angel - 2004, Bronze
This angel statue was designed to honor his late father at the request of his mother. Holler’s inspiration for the piece came from Psalm 91:11.

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways”.

David

David - 2004, Bronze
David is a sculpture Holler created in honor of the birth of his second son. Holler spent six months creating this piece.

Psalm 23:1-3 “The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake”.

Profile of Jesus

Profile of Jesus - 2000, Bronze
This is Holler’s first bronze work. He formed the sculpture in clay before completing fine detail work on the wax model that was then cast in bronze.

Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins”.

Jesus with a Child

Jesus with a Child - 2001, Bronze
Holler sculpted this piece to commemorate the birth of his first son. It features a more contemporary style with longer, flowing lines.

Matthew 19:14 “But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven”.

The Mourning Angel

The Mourning Angel - 2009, Bronze
This piece is the second in Holler’s angel series and took 14 months to complete. Holler created the angel with inspiration from Matthew 5:4, “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted".
